Laughlin 2005

This was our second annual ride to Laughlin.  John, his son Anthony and Jimmy "The Rocket" left the day before to join in the doings at the Riverside Hotel Abate ride.  The rest of us left on Friday, after breakfast at our "Club House", the I-10 cafe.  The weather was great, with sunshine all the way.  We got parked and checked in, and looked around a bit, and yes, dropped some loose change in those one armed bandits.  We went on a poker run on Saturday that took us into Oatman, and then past the old gas station in Cool Springs, then into Kingman and back to Laughlin.  It was about a 100 mile ride.  The Rocket, living up to his name, and his old habits, had to grab a hand full of throttle when 3 or 4 crotch rockets (where he got his nickname) came by, and he showed them that just because he is now on a bigger bike, he isn't any slower!  We had dinner both Friday and Saturday night in the Riverside Hotel, and the food was a bit pricey, but good, and you couldn't beat that river view.  Well, enough of this, on to the pictures.

After a good breakfast, they were ready to ride like the wind
Rick thinking that this fog should burn off by time we get home!
Sue and Debbie at breakfast, just as they finished singing "Do you know the way to Laughlin"
Debbie and Jenny climbed out of the truck, into the back while Red was driving 80 mph, and it wasn't fast enough!
Bridget and Regina in one of their super model poses!  Great work girls!
I think they are trying to make a picture frame, yeah, that's it, a picture frame.
A short stop for gas in Yucca.  It's a long way to the next gas, so fill them up!
Goofy starts singing "Moon over Amboy" and then demonstates.
Anthony was sleeping on the way, and hasn't figured out where he is yet!
I took this picture, but I promised I wouldn't show the faces, so I have blacked them out.
