On December 19, 2004, we went into downtown L.A. to meet up with a great bunch of people, the Department of Water and Power, also known as the LADWP. One of our Santa Clarita Valley members, Steve "The Wonder" Thompson is with the LADWP and one of the people that put it all together, another LADWP member, Ray Reynoso, also known as Santa is another. I'm sure there are dozens more that are responsible, but I don't have their names. So, a giant group thank you goes out to all of them also. The staff at the UCLA Harbor Medical Center are to say the least, Angels of Mercy. We brought smiles to the faces of the kids there, and THAT'S what the whole ride was about. Those kids are braver than anyone can imagine. I am not ashamed to say, that I was wiping tears away, seeing those little ones that have done nothing to anyone, yet they are there. Some of the riders went upstairs to the rooms, to take some toys to the kids that couldn't come down to the group. They also took one of the bikes up for the kids to see, they loved that. I will add some other pictures to this page when I get them downsized so those of you without broadband won't be waiting all day for the pictures to download. I hope we can have more club members next year, and more great sponsers like Cal-Portland Cement of Colton, who donated a Playstation 2! Thank you so much!
